I was born and raised in Queens, New York. I still live in the same house of my youth, my family belonging to the East Elmhurst community for nearly 70 years. For much of my career I worked in book-related fields, such as Barnes and Noble as a cashier, a level III Office Aide with the Queens Borough Public Library system for nine years, and in 2000 began working as a Help Desk Representative in the library's Information Technology & Systems Department for the remainder of my time there until I departed in 2004.
I have always enjoyed reading and would often read as many books as I was able to at a very young age. This was mostly due to the fact that my mother was a public school teacher for thirty-one years at PS 166 in Long Island City and she would encourage me to read.
I would read any and everything and often carried a pocket dictionary so that I could look up words I did not understand while reading at an adult level when I was only in the fourth grade. I can honestly say that I got more notes sent home, due to my books being confiscated for 'inappropriate reading material' than I care to recall! Then again, the Lutheran private school that I went to didn't have many kids reading Stephen King and V.C. Andrews at the time.
I am very proud that my ten-year-old niece is already reading a few levels above average, and I will continue to encourage her to read whatever she has an interest in.
In addition to writing, I also love to garden, play video games, bake, cook, knit and most of all spend time with my one and only beautiful niece, Gianna, who is the light of my life. My latest novel, "Company Policy: A Psychological Thriller" is on sale now and I am currently at work on my next novel, a suspense-thriller called "Shelter".
